A unique project to remember Newington's Fallen from all 20th century conflicts. We will remember them.
The Great War saw Newington at the heart of military installations built to protect Britain's war industries from German forces
1n 1918, Captain Percival Fitzgerald Hogg (Royal Garrison Artillery) recorded every one of the memorials at St Mary's. We are grateful to D. E. Williams for transcribing and digitising this wonderful legacy.

Free event on Sunday, September 6th at the Village Hall covers 2,000 years of Newington history in just 2.5 hours! We'll have talks, the chance for you to chat with local experts and displays.. 2pm-4.30pm
