Newington has been at the heart of history for more than 2,000 years.

Newington History Group is here to research, promote and help protect the history and heritage of Newington and the surrounding area.
The historical society was founded by Thelma and Graham Dudley (who have lived in the village for many years) and much of the information on this site comes from Thelma's dedication to researching and recording our village history in her several books.
We love to share our passion and hope that you find plenty to interest you in this website.
Do you share our passion for Newington’s history and heritage? Let us know! We are always open to new members. Or we often need occasional volunteers to help us turn our visions into reality. We'd love to hear from you.
